Our Trip to Ketchikan, Alaska (days 1&2)

Day One

There are waterfalls all over the island. This one is just on the side of the road.

Totem Poles

Okay...this bagel was sooooo good. Becca and I shared it. We got it Sweet Mermaids, the bakery in downtown Ketchikan.

Downtown Ketchikan, where you'll find all the cruise ships docked.

Creek Street. The entire street and buildings hover over the water.

I guess this salmon served it's purpose, laid it's eggs, and became bear food.

Day Two

James met this darling little sweetheart, decked out for rain.

Drinking fountain pump.

The start of our hike around Ward Lake.

Mini waterfall.

The thousands of salmon swimming upstream.

Who knocked over that tree?

Green grows on everything.

James petting a banana slug.

A Hobbit could fit through there.

Soooo handsome!

Ward Lake

Michael trying to capture the salmon swimming upstream on his smart phone.

A huge black slug.

The next four photos are a panoramic view from Becca and Kelly's house.

The fire house is close by.

The house there on the right is Becca's friend, Shirley's. She was so friendly and helpful. May everybody have a friend like her.

The cruise ships sail by every night. It's fun when they go by in the dark because they are lit up like a Christmas tree.
