Congratulations Patrice!

Congratulations go out to Grandma Patty and her new grandaughter, Stella. Ya know Patty, she kinda looks like you. Sooooo Beautiful!

We're Home!!

We got back from the river early this morning...about 1am. I drove home so I am TIRED! We had a great time out on the river. It was fun to watch the girls and their sweet hubbies play out on the water. It was Scott and Kelly-Boy's first time on Sea-Doos. They had a lot of fun. Saturday was really crowded with lots of boat ranging from little dinghies to OUTA-THIS-WORLD boats racing down the river at unbelievable speeds. My anxiety level was way up there do to the crowd of drinking boaters and my children all in the same water space. Sunday we went to church, took a nap and then went for a walk at dusk. Monday was wonderful, most of the crowd went home and the weather was perfect. We ate breakfast in Topock and then just played all day on the water. I'm so glad and blessed that my children like to be with and spend time with each other. The only thing missing was Joey, Christina and Ada. That would have made the weekend perfect.

We're On Our Way

We are heading out to the Colorado River in the Morning....with everybody else and their mother. We're excited to go cuz this will be Scott, Kellie, and Kelly's first time out at our little place there. I hope it won't be tooooooo crowded.

This morning I got out on my bike again with Janet. We went to the beach hoping to get a little bit of the sunshine that we had the last couple of days but no luck....it was pretty gloomy and windy. I was able to make it about six miles today and broke out in a good sweat. Usually I could do six miles with my hands tied behind my back but since it's been so long and with my back outa wack, six miles was a real work-out.

Wahoo!!! I did it!!!

Wahoo! The semester is over and I have completed my first semester of school. I have mixed emotions about it, I will miss some of the students and everyone in my psychology class. Even my teacher, he was awesome. I think that I got A's in both of my classes. I always wanted to be a 4.o student. I wonder how long that will last.

Another mile stone this week.....I road my bicycle a few miles yesterday, boy, do I miss it. I woke up pretty sore today so I didn't ride again today but went for a good walk with Ada instead. I plan to go riding again tomorrow at the beach with that 'stud' Janet.

Mike's been gone for training for the last couple of days...I sure miss him.

Congratulations go out to Rebecca and Kelly on their new purchase, a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta wagon. OOOOH ! It's so pretty! As grandma Virginia would say, Masha-la-poo-poo-poo!

OhMyGosh! I'm Blogging!!

Okay, I'm gonna start journaling....Publicly. I can't seem to get it down on paper so I'm gonna try going 'high tech'. I am inspired by my friend Shauna who journals everyday, by my friend Christina who has been blogging since January and by my cousin Tami, blogging from the Holy Land. I don't know at what time I am going to open it up for comments, probably in a week to see if I can go for that long, but when I do, please feel free to post comments, the more the better.

Well, it's been a weeks since our truck was stolen out of our driveway and no sign of it yet, but not to worry. Santa came and put a new there last night. Okay, maybe it wasn't Santa in the middle of May, but some guy, His eyes -- how they twinkled! His dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!.....Anyway, to make a long story short, Mike is back on all fours (4x4's) again.

I'm right in the middle of making cookies for my Psych class. Tomorrow is our last day of the semester and we are all saying good-bye. It will be really hard because I have grown to love all of the kids in the class. Even though I am the oldest in the class, besides the teacher, I have always felt included and comfortable. I love school and hope that I can continue to go and be motivated.
