We hit #1 on our Summer Bucket List.
View from the Griffith Park Observatory.
Can you see the Hollywood sign in the background?
It was still early when we got the to Observatory so the marine layer was not completely burned off.
The Observatory is closed on Mondays, so we enjoyed ourselves just walking around the grounds.
What a huge city Los Angeles is.
The back side.
The Avila Adobe was built in 1818 by Francisco Avila and has the distinction of being the oldest standing residence in Los Angeles, California.
Hanging around on Olvera Street
Comment if you know what these are.
In front of the Court House
Walking from Olvera Street to the Los Angeles City Hall
In the elevator on our way to the top.
The views taken from various positions atop the City Hall Building.
We decided to take the stairs ALL THE WAY BACK DOWN.
From the forth floor of the building we can see the pretty chandelier of the Rotunda.
Standing in the Rotunda. So Pretty!
Walking back to our car, we noticed the line of shopping carts of the local homeless neatly parked on the sidewalk near the freeway. I guess it's just an unspoken courtesy that no one touches their stuff.
